Injuries suffered in a train-automobile wreck at the Monon-U.S. 36 crossing at Bainbridge Thursday afternoon of last week caused the death of Anton Reinboltz, 36, of Harrinton, Kansas when he leaped from the car to escape the crash, others in the vehicle said. Reinboltz sustained a skull fracture and fractures of both legs. He died at the Putnam county hospital in Greencastle shortly after the accident. Others in the car, who were only slightly injured in the collision with a south bound passenger, included the victim's wife and son, and Rev. and Samuel Jaans of Durham, Kansas. Jaans was said to have been driving the car. The party was en route to Anderson to attend a religious meeting.    --- thanks so much to Marilyn Walker for donating her wonderful Roachdale Times obituary file for use on this site
